There
are many kinds of transportations to commute from my home to place to
40 miles away. In them, what I have are bicycle, train, and car. They
have some positive points as well as negative ones.

First,
a bicycle is so cheap for my financial state and helpful for my
health. A bicycle can easily be bought in a bicycle store of my town.
In my town, there are 10 or more stores to sell it. Because of
competetion between the stores, I can find the cheapest bicycle
whenever I want. Moreover, the city hall is supporting the campaign
to ride a bicycle and to lend it. Additionally, I would become
healthier with riding a bicycle. According to a research, riders who
use bicycle for 2 hours a day have stronger heart than the others.
These are positive points using a bicycle. On the other hand, there
are negative points of using a bicycle. Riding a bicycle is
definitely time consuming. If I go for 40 miles with a bicycle, it
should take 2 hours or more. If I do not have time enough to enjoy
riding, I could not choose it as a transportation. In addition, power
consumption is one of considerable negative points. After riding it
for 2 hours, not only I but any person should experience lack of
stamina. In the case that I need to use my stamina for other tasks, I
also would not make a choice to use it to travel there.

Secondly,
I can use also public train. In the case of boarding train, the most
important point is comfortability. When I use train, it mostly always
has seats enough for almost all passengers to sit down. Also I can
sit down on a seat. Its comfortability could not be compared to any
other transportations. In addition to comfortability, train prevents
time consuming. One of the reasons for people to board train is that
the train shall depart and arrive on the time. Since it is possible
to know arriving time, people could keep their schedules. Nonetheless
of the positive points of using trains, some people point out their
negative points, fixed departure time and crowded room. We cannot let
a train begin to run for our personal reasons. If I am in a
time-critical situation, I do not prefer train. Another negative
point is that train’s passenger room is mostly always full of
passengers. This is the point that I do not like because it lets me
reserve the train. These points should be fixed or progresed in near
future.

As
the last choice, I can take my own car. A car is one of the best
solutions to go somewhere I need to go. It provides silence and
freedom. When I close the windows of my car, any noisy sound could
not enter the car. Therefore, I can enjoy my trip with my favorite
musics and sounds. Also I can take route to the goal as I want. If
the route has heavy traffic, it might be changed. So I would like to
ride my car. Even though there are many positive points of using a
car, nonetheless, it has serious problems. High cost to buy a car and
an origin of air polution. In order to get a car, it should be paid
for about 10000 dollars. This is not so cheap for anyone to buy it using.
Nowadays, to stimulate buying cars, motor companies propose many
financial plans, but they might not be indeed solutions. Natural
environment is also a considerable factor.

In
sum, I take bicycle. This is because I want to make myself healthier
and to contribute solve the environment problems. I truly believe
that bicycle is the solution to help the travel.

There
are so many arguments that communication between people have become
less personal with developing telephones and e-mail. Some people
agree with the statement. However, it does not convince me because of
the following reasons, broaden relationship and personalized tools.

First
of all, we can find that with the development of telecommunication
technics, relationship between people is becoming larger and
stickier. For example, when there were not telephones, people should
use letter on paper or person in order to communicate to some other
person in distant location. However, in modern times after creation
of telephone, we could easily talk to our friends by using mobile
phone whenever and wherever we want. From technical development,
personal communication would be stronger.

Secondly,
personalized tools to comminucate between people would help the
communication more personl. For example, electronic mail requires
password to access to the main text. E-mail is not only one of the
useful tools to send messages but also one of the secretized tools to
hide them. Also, it is the proved fact that mobile phone with CDMA
technology cannot be hacked by a malicious user. These tools support
highly personalized communication. It could not be imagined without
telephones or e-mail.

In
conclusion, since they support people to communicate between members
in personal relationships, telephone and e-mail sufficiently make it
more personal. Therefore, I do not agree the statement to be
mentioned above.

There
are many argumenets whether computers help human life easier and more
convenient or not. I am convinced by the statement because of the
following three reasons, saving time, shortening distance, and
interactive interfaces.

First
of all, computers make it possible that people process their works
with them faster than without them. For example, imagine that you are
dealing with millions of records of customers in your business.
Unless you do use spreadsheet program on your computer,probably you
could not finish it on time. Even though you have any complex work
process, computers could help your working by their proper programs.
Moreover, we may save time by using computer, and saved time allows
us to do something else which we want to do. This is one reason why I
advocate the statement.

Secondly,
using computers, we can do so much things over long distance. In the
age without the Internet, no person could communicate other person in
other location within a minute. However, the technical development
nowadays allows us to do. For instance, I have an experience that
when I studied English, I trained speaking skills with talking a
foreign teacher living in U.S., Also it is easy to find other
examples. If the development of computers does not exist, that could
not be.

Additionally,
people would use computers easily with developing interactive user
interface. We can see icons and graphics on computer moniters and
know what to do in order to task we want to do. Moreover,
touch-screen technics will be spreading, so young children or old
persons will spend computers more easily. The touch-screen is just an
example to understand how to allow computers to help us.

In
conclusion, growing computer technics could make people life easier
and more convenient. Saving time, communicating over distance, and
easily using computers could be the reason why we do not give it up
to using computers. I conclude that computers should be useful for
us.

I
totally support the plan that builds a new movie theatre in my
neighborhood. This is because the following two reasons, more
possibility for watching movies and more growth of local economy.

First
of all, my friends as well as I like to watch movies. The news about
building a new theatre makes the friends and me more friendly because
it provides more chances to meet each other and to get the same
experiences. In my opinion, this is the fact that would be applied
not only to my friends but also members of the local community.
Moreover, fortified friendship between members of the community could
help them feel so happy in their everyday life. Therefore I strongly
support the plan to build it.

Secondly,
the new movie theatre can help the local economy grown because it
leads to the result that new economic area is composed in order to
sell the goods and foods to the customers of the theatre. Moreover,
invisible economic effects might be more than visible ones. For
example, people to want to watch the movie should use transportations
which use gasoline or other kinds of fuel. This makes indirect
economic effects which help labors in gas station. This is why I
agree the plan.

From
the reasons that I mentioned above, I advocate the plan to build a
new movie theatre. It can make me, my friends, and my neighborhood in
local community happier and richer.
